FIFTH WORLD CONGRESS ON QIGONG AND THE 5TH AMERICAN QIGONG ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE

Dear Friends,

My co-sponsors and I heartily invite you to join us for an extraordinary, cutting edge Fifth World Congress on Qigong and the Fifth American Qigong Association Congress, November 1 through 4, 2002, the Golden Gateway Holiday Inn Hotel in dynamic San Francisco. This year's theme is: Medical Qigong in Self Care and Healing.

This inspiring, world-class event is a gathering place for directing energies toward health and holism, an historic occasion for a planet and a people needing revitalization of body, mind, spirit, and environment. The Congress will pay tribute to those globally who have suffered from the continuing threats of terrorism. Participate in the scientists' discussions about cutting edge research on Qigong! Learn and practice new skills as Qigong masters demonstrate their extraordinary power and knowledge of ancient wisdom for modern use. Experience exhibitors' exciting products and services!

The Fifth World Congress will cap off World Qigong Week, October 28 through November 3, 2002. And remember to be there on World Qigong Day on Saturday, November 2, 2002.

As always, many influential leaders will be involved at the Fifth Congress. Letters came from former President Clinton, Senator Harkins, the AMA, World Health Organization and others for previous congresses. Each Congress has been a tremendous success, attracting increasing numbers of significant presenters and doubling numbers of participants from more than twenty countries.

Qigong, an ancient science and art of health, is a traditional form of Chinese energy exercise and healing for the body, mind, and spirit. Qigong is practical for all ages and physical conditions. Over 80 million people practice Qigong daily in China! Qigong is ideal for establishing emotional balance in today's stressful lifestyles, for training top Olympic and world-class athletes, and for helping to heal seriously ill people-those struggling with chronic degenerative conditions such as paralysis, cancer, asthma, cardiovascular, and other life situations.

The Fifth World Congress on Qigong and the Fifth American Qigong Association Conference will increase public awareness for developing a system of health care that promotes healthy lifestyles and affordable care. The Congress promotes that goal! Furthermore, the Congress is expected to be a springboard for raising funds for Medical Qigong scientific research. Part of the proceeds will support the USA Wushu Sports Team to compete in the World Olympics, Beijing in 2008!

We will continue to establish new associations and national organizations to coordinate Qigong globally. The World Qigong Federation, the American Qigong Association, and other national groups, such as the German, Romanian and Spanish Qigong Associations have been organized... and this is just the beginning!

Through various social and policy influences, we are placing Qigong in the Western world as an essential health concept for the 3rd millennium, year 2002 and beyond!

If you would like to participate in the World Congress on Qigong, please download the appropriate form or brochure from our Web site: AdMedCon.com or eastwestqi.com or contact us via email at qicongress@aol.com or call (800) 863-5085. CME/CEU Credits may be offered for professionals. The instructions need to be followed precisely. Our wonderful Congress Managers Rick Merner and Greg Fillmore will look after the details.

You may participate in the excitement in any or all of the following ways:

1. Register for the Congress by completing and sending in the registration form from the Web site or the form enclosed in the Fifth World Congress on Qigong Brochure.

2. Co-sponsors, exhibitors, donors, fundraisers, potential advertisers or donors, please return the completed form: An Invitation to Participate.
3. Apply to be a presenter by sending in the Call for Abstracts and requirements.

4. Join and support The World Qigong Federation and/or The American Qigong Association!

5. Promote Qigong and the Congress by contacting and educating as many people and organizations as possible. Enlist your mayor, governor, and other officials to proclaim World Qigong Week, October 28 through November 3, 2002; and World Qigong Day, Saturday, November 2nd! Include the media.

6. Come and enjoy The Fifth World Congress on Qigong!

The momentum is building! Please send me your updated resume and background information if you wish to help promote Qigong on an ongoing basis. We also need volunteers in many areas, please refer people to us and we will be able to use all types of skills and expertise.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and your being part of our 'Qi family' at this extraordinary healing event as we move toward greater heights of health and wholeness with Qigong!

Warmest wishes,

Effie Poy Yew Chow,
PhD, RN, DiplAc(NCCAOM), Qigong Grandmaster
Congress Chair

P.S. We've invited people from around the world who cannot attend to celebrate with us by establishing activities at their home bases and involving the media.
